Our main purpose is to go backpacking. It is also a place to share ideas of trips, gear, etc. This group is for those who love to go on a backpack and spend overnight trips out in the wilderness. All trips are non-smoking and we all practice Leave No Trace principals.

This is a group for anyone interested in hiking, backpacking, camping, etc. in the Livermore area.

This group is intended to be an open network of mostly experienced backpackers, of the boomer age (you can use your own definition, but 45 to 60 plus or minus is my concept).  Generally trips should be moderately paced, 6 to 8 miles a day, up to 1500 feet of gain.
