- I've done lots of camping (sadly, none too recently) but never backpacking. I'm just getting back into hiking and have always wanted to try backpacking. Actually, my dream is to try the Appalachian Trail someday.
- How much backpacking experience do you have?

I've now done a bootcamp (in cooler weather) and one other trip (in 90+ weather). The last book I read was A Walk in the Woods (Bryson), which explained a bit about the gear as well as the rigors.
