Ozark Highlands Trail Hike in October

I am considering a 5-6 day backpacking trip in Arkansas the week of October 26th. This should be prime time for fall colors and avoids the gun seasons for deer and turkeys. If anyone has a suggestion for a 40 mile section to hike at this time please post your recommendation. I am more interested in enjoying the hike than covering the maximum distance. If anyone is interested in going please reply. It seems to me that a group of about 6 (two cars) would be the right size.

I may be interested, but I haven't done a longer trip before.

Keep me in mind, it sounds like just the kind of trip I'd like to take in the Fall. Right now it is a bit early for me to make a firm plan for October.
