Introduction: Enjoy almost anything as long as it has me doing it outdoors. Hike regularly, have recently started doing a number of shorter weekend excursions, but looking forward to some new scenery, perhaps something in the Sierras or Shasta/Trinity Forests.
What, if any, is your prior backpacking experience? Where have you been, and where would you like to go? Are you available for a week or more for an excursion in the summer? What information, ideas or expertise can you bring to this group?: Most of my backpacking experience was in my teens through scouts. In Southern California with weekend trips to Mt. San Jacinto, San Gregorio and the like and longer 7 day excursions into the Sierras, including two Whitney climbs.
