Anyone who is interested in planning some backpack trips this summer, expecially for 4th July weekend, mid July and Labor day weekend

Let's put some trips on the calendar so we can reserve permits, and get input/help from the group on trip planning. Additionally, it's always fun to meet backcounty people and talk about trips. Feel free to bring ideas, maps, books, laptops and stories.

    Yay Geraldine! I'd like to propose a trip to the Trinity Alps for one of those weekends - they're much less crowded than the Sierras, and they're gorgeous. Mountains, lakes, and untrammeled wilderness. I've got a book with a dozen 2-4 day trips out of Weaverville.
