This trip will probably be a lot different than the first one. This one we should be able to do some of the crazier peeks due to it being later in the year where hopefully most of the snow has melted off the high trails for us to get up. Another plus about this time of year is swimming and cliff diving. Fishing is out of control so bring an appetite for trout. (there will be plenty because I fish but rarely eat it) This time we will be going in on the Quarts Mountain trail head also in the Sierra National Forest. When I have the 15 total people confirmed than I will start a discussion just between the 15 about driving arrangements. I am hoping to be on the trail by 7:00am July 25, 2008.

Very sorry I had to miss the trip. Sorrier still if my late drop-out prevented anyone from attending in my place. If anyone knows of someone I deprived in this way, please do let me know, as I would like to personally apologize. Also, John, I'll gladly pay my fair share of any permits and fees. Dalton, I followed your progress using your Spot device -- amazing technology.... -- Bob

Hey everyone we still need to set up the travel arrangements (Carpool) I know a few of you already made plans at the pre meet but I and a few others still need a ride. So if anyone has a big Vehicle and would offer to drive I'm sure everyone will pitch in for gas. Call me to make arrangements. 818-521-3634

Trips comming up in less than three week. I'd love to get together to discuss redundant gear and sharing (example water filters). Car pooling etc. Anyone else like a meetup before the meetup?

Please, if you are not serious about coming change your rsvp. There are many people who are on the waiting list. I have paid for each permit in advance so if you don't show up you will be stealing from me and taking someones spot that really wants to go. Again, I'm asking please!!! Check your calender and make sure you can make it. If there is any doubt, don't take this opportunity away from somebody that really wants to come. Thank you so much. John
