- My name is Amanda, I've been hiking and backpacking for about 8 years. I'm an "almost solo" backpacker-- just me and my dog, Beau.
- What was your most embarrassing backpacking moment?

Getting on the wrong trail while taking a friend out on his first backpacking trip.
- What's the longest backpacking trip you've ever taken? (in mileage and/or days)

5 days, 75 miles. Pigeon River Country State Forest in Michigan, September, 2005
- What was your funniest backpacking moment?

Not all that funny, but I have a picture of a "hiker guy" carsonite post that someone decorated with a caption sticker stating "I threw up!"
- What was your favorite backpacking experience?

Some trail magic while hiking on the High Country Pathway in 2004 and another set of magic on the North Country Trail in 2007.
- Please relate, in general terms, your backpacking experience.

I'd say advanced, but not an expert. I mostly go out solo, and only in fair weather. I'm getting more into cold weather trips, but that's slow coming.
