Dial-In Meetup to plan next Backpacking Trip

Everyone,

We need to figure out a way to make planning backpacking trips more accessible. It's hard enough to get time off to actually go on the trips. So, I'm going to try something new. I'll host a conference bridge that everyone can dial into. Hopefully we get a big group to join.

A few objectives for this call will include:

1. Identify other members that would be interested in becoming assistant organizers. I don't mind paying the monthly fee for the meetup group but I could really use some help organizing events as I travel nearly full time for work.

2. Decide our next backpacking location and date (come prepared with your best ideas).

3. Get to know one another a little bit better on the call.

Hopefully, people don't find this too impersonal. I'm up for meeting at venues like the coffee shop, but in the past it's been very difficult to get everyone corralled. I wouldn't even mind meeting at my home once I get to know people, but I'm hesitant to invite a public group to my home.
