Who's leading the next backing trips in Oct, Nov and December? Anyone up to leading a day trip? We should schedule a minimum of 1 back packing and 1 day hike per month or more during peak season!?

I am not personally organized enough to "lead" hikes, though I hike every weekend; right now the only over-nighters are with this group; however, the group has scheduled too few over-nighters in recent months. My day hikes run 6 to 12 miles and are at Suwanee Greenway, Sweetwater State Park, Kenessaw Mountain, or Stone Mountain. I'm planning to hike Stone Mountain tomorrow, Saturday morning. I try to finish up hiking by noon so I have time to do other stuff. Yesterday I hiked 3 miles with my daughter.

I'm going to be in NH for a 5 day trip in Sept with some Northern ultralighters and then I'll be in the Le Parcour de Wild in October so my next couple of months will be booked up with training trips which likely means high mileage and strenuous climbs. I have to limit who goes on these kinds of trips with me due to past experiences so they likely won't be officially posted.

2.5 HOURS FROM RINGGOLD, GA

Lou, is this place too far away for October 5th? Would be great when the leaves are in FULL COLOR.

We need leaders for day hikes or moderate back packing trips!? Go for it!!!

David: Just post the day hike start/meet place and expected mileage. How hard is that?
Chris: Understand you have serious trips planned and training events. Thanks for the beginner trip at Chattooga River. Adam's taking a group back there next weekend.
Karen: I'll check your location recommendations for October trip and let you know.

I would love for some moderate trips to open up in the fall.
Unfortunately I start back to work on Friday after a year hiatus.
I will be working retail so I am sure I will be working most weekends.
I will have Wed and Thurs off for sure, I am willing to organize some stuff if
there is enough people off during the week.

I feel bad for not being able to participate yet but I lead hikes for another group and somehow they manage to be scheduled at the same time as here.
I really wanted to go on this trip.

Folks, we definitely need more enthusiasm from the rest of the group when leading trips! Look what people are saying! :)

What does "singularly focused for me" mean?

I took it as if our group was too much of one person thing with followers (groupies). I guess this guy has issues with other people leadership, but I think he has a point!
