I am going trekking in the Carpathians for 6 days and need some practice and well and advice.
What is your level of backpacking experience?
Ummm... lots of camping (state park grounds with facilities) and day hikes, but no backpacking. But I am a quick learner :)
What part of town do you live? Enter Zip code? This will help in deciding on event car pool and meeting locations, etc.

River Crossing Footwear - Crocs with Sox?
"I hiked for 6 days in the Carpathians in my light wool socks and a pair of Tevas. I waded rather than rock hopped and then hiked some pretty rugged terrain (lots of off trail) and was fine. I did use trekking poles at all times."
