  •  The loop took us 3.5 days, but I think it can be done in three, especially with longer days. We didn't rush it. We did the loop counterclockwise, which may be the "harder" way. It seems the BT is "optimized" for northbound hiking. The climbs weren't that bad, but maybe that's because I'm doiing more hiking out West which feels tougher! It is an excellent loop. I'll probably do the GA loop this winter sometime.

  •  I am going hiking, just not with you guys =( My boyfriend and I are renting a cabin with 2 couples he works with. Hopefully I'll get some good hiking in. I'm starting to freak out with my job and never getting out of the city! I'm one of those people who just doesn't do well without her dose of Nature at least twice a month, and the last time I went backpacking was with the group. So depressing! I have been trying to get off work for next weekend's trip but that is looking dim =(
