This is what Phillip has to say about this trip:
For the past few years I've been going to the Cohutta Wilderness Area and hiking the Jack's River or the Conasauga River trails. I find the 40-odd river crossings are a great relief to the summer heat. I've been keeping a close eye on the upcoming trips, but haven't had any fit into my schedule yet. I tend to stay pretty busy, so I have to plan trips far in advance. I have a trip planned to go do the Conasauga River trail from August 7th-9th (Fri-Sun) and would love if we could make this trip into a group meetup. It's a 13-mile trail with 40-odd river crossings. Terrain's fairly easy, but the crossings will tire you out. Since the Conasauga lacks the falls of it's sister trail the Jack's, we shouldn't see many people; in fact, I've been a few times where I didn't see anyone all weekend. Thanks Dmitry, hope it can be a trip!
