June 6 is National Trails Day and a good opportunity for our group to give back to the community! We will volunteer with REI and the American Hiking Association to help with whatever needs this trail has; ie litter, and foreign plant removal etc. I did this last year with this same group at Mt. Kennesaw and had a blast. Lunch will be provided and the first 100 signees will receive a free poly shirt!

Bring working gloves! I'll put out some more information if we need other tools- but it's likely they'll provide anything else.

Once again this is a great opportunity for our group to give back to the community, and also a great way for some of our new members to get to know everyone!

To sign up, sign up on this page, but also call REI Buford or email Daniel Jessee at the contact information below to secure your spot!

I'm going to try and coordinate with REI and AHS for us to have a sign up sheet at the sign in area for our club

    •  It was an awesome time. I meet some really nice people and had a lot of fun helping rei and other volunteers. I wish some of our group would have been there so I could have met some of us... Next time I guess. In all it was a great time and I plan to attend every year here on out.
