Hi, My wife and I started hiking 3 yrs ago but due to an injury we had to put it on hold for over a year but we are happy to be going on a 4 day trip starting July 6th. While surfing for fire conditions above Kennedy Meadows I found your site.

We have about Five 3 and 4 day hikes and many day hikes both here in calif and when we spent 6 years in europe while stationed there with the air force. Only had one problem on the trail and that was blisters on my wifes feet with about 15 miles back to the trail head, solved with moleskin and me taking about 10 lbs off her pack and piling it on my pack. It took an extra night but we trudged on. Problem solved
