Introduction

I hike a lot, always looking for new experiences.

Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.

Sleeping on top of Mt. Evans, with the glow of Denver below, I awoke at sunrise to find myself surrounded by dozens of shaggy white mountain goats. They didn't make a sound.

Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?

I would like to be certified.

Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.

25 degrees is probably the coldest I've slept out in. I'm probably more of a 3-season packer, because I love to ski so much.

What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?

Favorite critters are black bears. I've seen a couple up close. Least favorite I suppose are spiders.

What's your favorite snack food on the trail?

Chocolate and cognac for the summit, a tradition I picked up from some Russian girls I met on Katahdin.
