Introduction
Hiking, it's an addiction really. If I don't do it, I start to get the shakes.
Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.
My dad and I climbed the highest peak in New Mexico for Father's Day, and unfortunately the trail disappeared under a field of snow...in short, we got very lost and ended up in a completely different ski area than we were supposed to. Oops.
Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?
I received my Wilderness First Responder certification two years ago, but unfortunately it has expired. Sad.
Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.
I slept in a foot of snow once, with ferocious wind...but I think it was only 20 degrees-not too bad.
What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?
Like lots of critters, but snakes, not so much. Oh, and I despise mosquitos.
What's your favorite snack food on the trail?
Snickers, obviously...but I usually save that for the end of the day. Oo, ooh, peanut butter and honey is good too.
