Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Jeff. I am a young energetic elementary teacher living in beautiful Ringwood NJ! I am a hike leader and have aspirations to become an outdoor adventure guide. I am working on gaining certifications, training and experience.

Tell us about one of your favorite outdoor adventures.

I have had tons! Bear encounters would definitly rank pretty high on the list. They definitly get your heart rate up!

Do you have current Wilderness First Aid training? If not, would you be interested in getting this certification?

No. I definitely would be interested in the first aid training.

Are you a 4-season backpacker? What's the coldest temperature you've slept outdoor in.

No. I would have to get better equiped for cold weather camping.

What's your favorite/least favorite 'critter' in the outdoors?

I love seeing animals and their sign in the outdoors! I grew up hiking and hunting with my father. Hense I am quite adapt at tracking and locating wildlife. I would have to say seeing a coyote is the most thrilling for they are very wary!

What's your favorite snack food on the trail?

Fruit always seems to give me an instant energy boost.
